Seacoast Christian Academy offers an aviation course of study that prepares students to qualify for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Private Pilot License and Certification. Students who complete the program will qualify to pursue a commercial pilot license after graduation from SCA.
Aviation courses are available to those enrolled full-time at SCA as juniors and seniors. First year juniors will dedicate one class per school day in classroom study with focus on pilot training. Second year students will receive classroom instruction and in-flight training provided by licensed FAA certified flight instructors. Students must reach the age of 17 years old prior to taking their certification check-ride.
International regulations require pilots to be capable of reading, speaking and understanding the English language. We suggest that those who feel less than conversational in reading, speaking and understanding English to consider early enrollment in the grade 10 at SCA.
